How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

My daughter needs her hair french braided for a competition this weekend and I don't know how to do it. A salon wants atleast $20.00 to do it and I don't want to pay that much. I found a friend of a friend to do it for me, but I'm not sure how much I should pay her. My daughter's hair is a few inches past the shoulder and she will need 2 braids. What do you think? How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?
Usually french braiding takes like 5 minutes, and charging 20 bucks for 5 minutes is a rip off, like 5 or 10$ should be enough. I'd do it for free if you lived near me :P It's no hassle. How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?
If your mate nothing if your going into a salon theyd probably make you pay 拢5.00!! Id do it for nothing hunn!!
Did your friend volunteer? If so, then you shouldn't have to pay her at all. Maybe take her to lunch one day as a thank you or if you feel like you have to pay her, leave a thank you note with what you feel like paying.

I paid $10 to have mine done 10 years ago. So, $20 is probably a good rate especially for 2 braids. However, I taught myself to do it and save the money now.
about $5 thats enough as french braids dont take long to do
I would not pay to have it done. It is very easy to learn how to do. I actually taught myself how to french braid my own hair at the age of 12.
20 sounds like a good price but maybe try to tell her 10.00
That is ridiculous. Have the friends' friend do it, and bring a gift over as a thank you, or pay her 10 bucks, tops.

Or, you can go to a website or find a book that can teach you how to do it. They are everywhere, and it is super easy once you learn.

It shows step by step photos.
If a friend of a friend want to do it, then why not buy here flowers in stead of paying ? Or ask here in for a drink.

I know $20 sounds much (Salon price), but don't forget that they have to make a living out of that. So asking a friend is a good thing to do.
